Imperial Household Agency posts Instagram about "Spring Garden Party"-First time for Princess Aiko

At about 9:00pm on April 24, the official Imperial Household Agency Instagram posted about the spring garden party held at the Imperial palace.
Along with the posted text, images of Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, other Imperial Family members, and even hors d'oeuvres served at the event could be seen.
This is only the third time the Spring Garden Party has been held since Emperor Naruhito ascended the throne.
The instagram was set up this month, and already has over one million followers.

The start of the event began with the appearance of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, followed by other female members of the Imperial Family dressed in vivid colors. Among them, the most notable was the Emperor and Empress’ daughter Princess Aiko, who was wearing a pale pink dress. This marked her first appearance at this annual event. The event was attended by about 1,400 people.

One of the attendees that the Emperor and Empress spoke with was Person of Cultural Merit Award winner, actor Kitaoji Kinya. He offered congradulations on Princess Aiko's graduation from the university and her job at Japanese Red Cross Soceity.

S/ Kitaoji Kinya, actor: Congratulations on the graduation and new employment of your daughter Princess Aiko.

S/ Empress Masako: She’s surrounded by many nice people and is enjoying herself very much.

S/ Kitaoji Kinya, actor: Having those sorts of people around you is very important.

S/ Kitaoji Kinya, actor: The Empress told me that Princess Aiko had met many wonderful people at her new workplace and was very happy. When I mentioned this to Princess Aiko herself, she said, 'Yes, that's right' and 'I want to work hard together with the staff from now on'.

The Imperial Family members also spoke with Person of Cultural Merit Award winner, graphic artist Yokoo Tadanori.
Princess Aiko had seen Yokoo’s artbook about his cat that had passed away, and the two excitedly talked about cats.

S/ Princess Aiko: That cat looks very happy.

It was Princess Aiko's first garden party but spent the whole time smiling and enjoying the conversation with guests.
