Ishiba and Modi take bullet train to Sendai, tour chip-related factory
Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the shinkansen bullet train from Tokyo to Sendai in northeast Japan on August 30.
They observed the driver's cabin and were briefed about the accuracy and safety of Japan's railway technology.
Japan has indicated its intention to cooperate with India's high-speed railway project.

The two leaders also visited a semiconductor production-related plant in Miyagi Prefecture.
There they confirmed efforts to strengthen supply chain resilience and enhance economic security.
As for assistance toward peace and prosperity in regions spanning from India to Africa, Ishiba said Japan and India were able to share deep understanding of the significance of joining forces.
