Organizers of Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai have announced that following an incident where parts fell off a flying car during a demonstration flight, further flights will be suspended.

Two covers on the motor part of the propeller fell off during the incident according to organizers, but as the flight area was fenced off to spectators, there were no injuries.

The suspension of all flights by all flying cars at the Expo was announced on April 27, until the safety of them could be confirmed.

Subsequent inspections found damage to the original aircraft's frame, and investigations into the cause are ongoing.
